Description
The new Konstantin Chaykin Wristmon “Panda” brings one of the most charismatic characters of the collection to life. First introduced as a unique steel pièce sold at a Phillips charity auction in Hong Kong in 2024, the Panda now returns in titanium as the inaugural model in Chaykin’s new “East” Wristmon series. Playful, instantly recognizable, and technically refined, the Panda is destined to become a highly collectible piece of contemporary independent watchmaking.
The Concept
The Concept
At the heart of the Panda lies the signature Joker-indication system. The expressive eyes display the hours and minutes through rotating discs, while the smiling mouth doubles as a moon-phase indicator. Its design DNA is unmistakably Wristmon, combining whimsy with fine horological execution.
Chaykin designed the case in lightweight, durable, and hypoallergenic titanium, with a refined mix of vertical and circular brushing, polishing, and sandblasting to give the watch its distinctive appearance. The ribbed bezel, engraved with the letters PANDA, and the upper animalistic lugs crafted from black carbon-fiber composite, further emphasize its unique character.
The unusual crown at 6 o’clock, also seen on models like the Smilodon and Zebra, reinforces the Panda’s playful yet purposeful design. Through the sapphire caseback, the owner can admire the automatic K.18-22 caliber, based on the La Joux-Perret G200 in an exclusive execution for Konstantin Chaykin. The in-house Joker module features a special bridge shaped as a stylized map of Sichuan Province, home of the panda.
The dial itself is a masterpiece of decorative finishing: different sandblasting techniques, smooth convex shaping for the nose, radial wavy guilloché relief for the fur texture, and subtle round indices in place of numerals, echoing the design philosophy of the earlier Minions models.

ABOUT KONSTANTIN CHAYKIN
Konstantin Chaykin Manufacture, founded in 2003 by Konstantin Chaykin, a Russian inventor and watchmaker, is the only luxury watch brand that produces exclusively Russian-made timepieces. The Konstantin Chaykin brand is recognized by international experts as one of the most creative and original watch brands in the world.
The story of the Russian watch brand Konstantin Chaykin began on October 23, 2003, when a young and ambitious inventor from St. Petersburg discovered his passion for the world of mechanical complications and wanted to develop a tourbillon clock, the first timepiece with a tourbillon to be produced in Russia for 175 years. By July 2024, Konstantin Chaykin had registered 96 patents and a further 62 utility models, more than any other watchmaker in the watch industry.

ABOUT WRISTMONS
The Wristmons series by Konstantin Chaykin has become one of the most iconic creations in independent horology. These watches combine technical sophistication with playful anthropomorphic dials, where time is displayed through expressive faces — from the legendary Joker to Clown, Minions, and now Kolobok. Each model features a unique in-house module, off-centered discs for the eyes, and a moonphase display as the mouth. Far from being gimmicky, the Wristmons represent a fusion of serious mechanical expertise with joyful, character-driven design — watches that make you smile, but with craftsmanship that deserves respect.
Konstantin Chaykin is launching a new line of five Wristmons inspired by animals and birds of the East.
The first, the “Panda”, debuted as a steel pièce unique sold at a Phillips charity auction in Hong Kong in November 2024. In 2025, it returns as a regular production model in titanium, officially presented at the Geneva Watch Days.
Over the next four years, the Wolf, Monkey, Falcon, and Tiger Wristmons will complete the set, with the Tiger scheduled for 2029 as the flagship of the collection.
