Description

The Konstantin Chaykin Atomic Heart Twins bring together independent haute horlogerie and the distinctive retrofuturistic universe of Atomic Heart.

Created under official license from Mundfish, the collection transforms the game's iconic robotic ballerinas into two mechanical timepieces: the Left Twin and the Right Twin.

At the centre of each watch is an oversized moon-phase display forming the Twin's face, while rotating hour and minute discs are integrated into the lower part of the character's silhouette. Synthetic rubies serve as functional time indicators while recreating key elements of the Twins' visual identity.

The Left Twin features a black silhouette against a vivid red dial, while the Right Twin combines a silver-toned figure with a graphite dial and golden details.

Both versions are housed in a 40 mm titanium case and are individually limited to 69 pieces worldwide.

The Concept

The Twins are among the most recognizable characters in the Atomic Heart universe, a retrofuturistic world set in an alternative Soviet Union in 1955. Professor Dmitry Sechenov's personal bodyguards combine the graceful movements of ballerinas with the nature of sophisticated combat machines.

For the Atomic Heart Twins, Konstantin Chaykin continues the artistic concept introduced with the Venus watch, transforming the moon-phase indication into a female face.

A substantially reworked version of the Manufacture's signature display module places an oversized moon-phase display in the upper part of the dial. As the lunar disc rotates and the proportions of its light and dark sections change, the expression of the otherwise featureless face evolves throughout the lunar cycle. The disc completes one full revolution in 29.5 days.

The two versions receive distinct decorative treatments. The Left Twin features a black silhouette over a rich red background, with an original variation of Grain d'Orge guilloché resembling the folds of an open fan. The Right Twin presents a silver-toned figure against graphite, complemented by golden applied guilloché elements representing her cropped cardigan and straight rays extending across the dial.

Synthetic rubies provide both aesthetic and functional details. An applied ruby star positioned on the separate sapphire crystal above the moon-phase display recalls the Twins' characteristic forehead emblem, while two additional synthetic rubies act as pointers for the rotating hour and minute discs.

Before its physical debut, the watch also appeared within the Atomic Heart universe itself, on Professor Lebedev's wrist in Atomic Heart: Blood on Crystal.
