The Earth as the Dial

At the center of the watch is a sculpted miniature Earth created using precision CNC engraving. Continents, oceans, coastlines, and terrain are rendered in relief, creating a striking three-dimensional effect that changes with the light.

Unlike a printed dial, the Blue Planet offers genuine depth and texture, turning the globe into the focal point of the watch.

Depending on the version, the globe depicts either:

• Original Edition – Eurasia and the surrounding oceans
• Atlantic Edition – The Americas, Europe, Africa, and the Atlantic Ocean

The Asynchronous-Follow Movement

The Blue Planet is powered by CIGA Design’s proprietary Asynchronous-Follow movement architecture.

Rather than using conventional hands, the mechanism coordinates two rotating elements:

• Hour ring rotating 30°
• Minute ring rotating 390°
• Single compass marker used as the reading point

The result is an intuitive display where both hours and minutes are read from one fixed reference point while the Earth slowly rotates beneath.

Minimalist by Design

The Blue Planet was designed as a smooth, uninterrupted object on the wrist.

Its rounded case eliminates traditional lugs, creating a pebble-like silhouette that feels organic and modern. A domed sapphire crystal enhances the sense of depth while preserving the clean lines of the design.

The crown is discreetly integrated into the profile, allowing the sculpted globe to remain the visual centerpiece.
