Housed in a striking grey-black carbon fiber composite case with crimson accents, the Kremlin Edition is lightweight yet robust, exuding both contemporary edge and horological artistry. The curved sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment ensures perfect legibility of the expressive dial, while its unconventional details invite closer inspection.

The Concept

For the Kremlin Edition, Behrens developed a dedicated display module inspired by the Joker’s signature eyes for hours and minutes — but with a twist: the smile is animated by a “loony” seconds complication. The spade-shaped hand dances along a curved path forming a grin, giving the watch both a kinetic charm and a deeper cultural nod. This technical flourish references the ancient Chinese “shi mo,” a hand-operated stone mill, connecting timeless mechanics with modern horology.
