Inspired by the mysterious Shu civilization, dating back more than three thousand years, every detail of the watch translates archaeological symbols into a modern mechanical masterpiece. The result is an exceptionally lightweight timepiece weighing only 14 grams (without strap), powered by BEHRENS’ new in-house Calibre BM09.

Designed as a seamless fusion between movement and case, the Pupil Ultralight 14G offers a completely new interpretation of time while remaining remarkably comfortable on the wrist.

The Concept

The Pupil Ultralight draws its inspiration from the legendary Sanxingdui archaeological discoveries and the iconic Bronze Diamond Eye, one of the most recognizable symbols of the ancient Shu civilization.

Its geometric architecture directly influences the movement layout, where acute and obtuse angles create a perfectly balanced mechanical composition. The hour and minute hands continuously recreate the shape of the Bronze Eye as they cross over the meteorite chapter ring, symbolizing the constant transformation of time and the concept of entropy, every passing moment is unique and can never be repeated.

The day-night display references the ancient Sun and Immortal Birds artifact, celebrating the Shu people’s vision of the eternal cycle between light and darkness. More than a timepiece, the Pupil Ultralight 14G is a wearable work of art that connects thousands of years of history with contemporary independent watchmaking.
